The family of the late Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel has expressed worry over what they say is the unnecessary speculation about the death of the minister.
Media reports have been rife about the possible cause of death with some speculating the possible cause of death.
A close friend of the family, Maxwell Owusu Siaw told Joy News they are yet to ascertain what killed the minister and would be grateful if all could wait patiently for the autopsy report.
He said as at Thursday morning, the doctors at the 37 Military Hospital were yet to complete the autopsy report on the late minister, insisting the reports in the media about the possible cause of the death of the minister were misleading.
He also denied reports that the Ministerís wife was present when Henry Ford Kamel collapsed.
He charged the media to be circumspect in their reportage.
Meanwhile, some Members of Parliament have expressed shock at the death of their colleague.
MP for Nadowli West, Alban Bagbin and MP for Yendi, Baba Iddrisu told Joy News their former colleague was selfless and committed to his work.
In a related development, all public engagements at the Volta Regional Coordinating Council have been suspended in honour of the late minister.
A regional thanksgiving service scheduled for December 30 in worship of God for his mercies for a successful and peaceful poll on December 7 has also been postponed indefinitely.
In a statement, Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ametepe said Mr Kamelís family and government were working together to give him a befitting burial.
