Gabby challenges Mahama, Akufo-Addo to accept court verdict on election result

The Executive Director of the Danquah Institute has challenged both the NDC and the NPP to accept whatever verdict the Supreme Court will deliver on the disputed results of the 2012 presidential elections.

Gabby Asare Otchere Darko says presidential candidates of both governing National Democratic Congress and the opposition New Patriotic Party must commit themselves to accept the outcome of the case irrespective of who it favours.

The Electoral Commission declared President John Mahama winner of the election but the New Patriotic Party has alleged widespread rigging and says it will challenge the results at the Supreme Court.

Mr Otchere-Darko said the NPP will bring its case before the Supreme Court by Friday.
