GHS Goodlife game show season 3 ends

Winners of the show

Mr. Allan Nkrumah, a final year student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology was adjudged the overall winner of the Season Three Goodlife game show.

The Goodlife Game Show is part of the Ghana Health Service’s (GHS) ‘Goodlife, Live it Well’ campaign supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with technical support from USAID’s Behavior Change Support (BCS) Project.

The Game Show is an entertaining and educational blend of multimedia and health information quizzes to promote learning about health issues and encourage good health practices that will enable people to fully enjoy what they value and cherish in life.

Addressing contestants and audience at the grand finale, Dr Gloria Quansah, the head of Family Health Division at the Ghana Health Service said the BCS projects have really helped Ghanaians to get health information due to the consistent communication to the public through the game show to enhance our health.

The Goodlife campaign was launched in November 2010 to promote healthier lifestyles among Ghanaians.

The campaign consists of sub-campaigns including the Child Nutrition Food Super Heroes, Malaria (Aha ye de), Hygiene Water and Sanitation, Maternal, Neonatal and Child health and Life Choices Family Planning campaign.

For the first time in the game show, season 3 had a little twist with a Paediatrician, Dr Margaret Naizer from the Princess Marie Louis hospital on the show as the resource person throughout the season to elaborate on the answers given by the contestants.

The final episode of Season 3 of the Game Show marked the end of 13 weeks of health education and fun.

Mr. Nkrumah battled it out with three other contestants; Mr. Kevin Nana Siaw, a student of the Central University College, Miss Roselin Paintsil, a student at the Institute of Professional Studies and Mr. Selassie Setsoafia, a Service Person at the Ghana Technology University.

Mr Nkrumah took home GHC5,000, Selassie took the second prize of GHC 2,000 and Roselin who took the third place won GHC 1,000. All contestants went home with Souvenirs from Goodlife.
