A teacher has been shot dead at Ada Foah in the Greater Accra Region.
The teacher, Rebecca Wollor, was shot by a man who claimed he intended to shoot a bird.
An eyewitness, David Flicker, told Joy FM an angry mob is baying for the blood of the suspect, who is in police detention.
He said the suspect's explanation was bizarre because the incident did not take place in a forest.
The headmistress of the school where the deceased, who is said to be Liberian, taught, described her as a friendly person who suffered an unfortunate fate.
The Ada police have confirmed the shooting to Joy News.
Ada District Police Commander, Chief Supt. John Yamba, said investigations into the bizarre incident were underway.
He said the suspect will be put before court and charged with murder.
