Ghanaians resident in Baltimore, Maryland in the United States are in a state of shock over the gruesome murder of a 37-year-old, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie by his housemate.

His assailant, 21-year-old Alexander Kinyua, a US citizen of Kenyan descent, ate his heart and brain.

Police say Alexander hid the head and hands of the deceased in a basement laundry room.

Ghanaians in Baltimore are planning to hold a vigil in memory of the deceased.

According to one Ghanaian resident, Kwamina Stanhope, the vigil will be held this weekend for the deceased who is described as a quiet, easy going, and studious person.

On Tuesday, the killer’s father, called detectives and reported that another son, Jarrod, found what he thought were human remains in the house where they all lived.

Police found the head and hands in the house and Alexander Kinyua admitted to killing the Ghanaian by cutting him up with a knife and eating his heart and part of his brain.
