A rainstorm has ripped off the roof of the only primary school at Klefe in the Ho Municipality, leaving authorities with virtually no alternative for teaching on Monday.
Reports say the storm that lasted three hours also damaged other properties in the community.
The Headmaster of the Atsatime E. P. Primary School, Samuel Obiri told
he may direct teachers to teach affected pupils under trees provided the trees can grant enough shade during the day.
Meanwhile the Assemblyman for the Klefe Electoral Area, Delali Kasu is appealing to the Municipal Assembly for immediate support.
“We lack classroom blocks for the pupils and so we are left with no option than to send the children under trees to be learning until we get help from any quarters…” he stated.
